Professional Experience
Marisa worked at community legal aid in Ohio during law school, providing assistance and legal services for those in need. She volunteered for a walk-in expungement legal clinic to help those who made mistakes in the past create a better future She also volunteered in a re-entry clinic where she worked with victims of human trafficking to get their records expunged and worked with clients to get pardons from the Ohio governors. Marisa is a trained advocate for victims of Domestic and Intimate partner violence.
Marisa grew up in Clark County Washington, graduated law school in May 2021 and returned to the Pacific Northwest. Marisa has always had an interest in Family and Animal law and is incredibly excited to be working for SKH and for the opportunity to help people successfully navigate through difficult times.

Marisa is a member of the Washington State Bar, Oregon State Bar, and the Clark County Bar Association, Former member of the Ohio State Bar association and Akron Bar association (during Law school) .
Her application is pending for the Washington State Bar Association.
Community Involvement
Marisa strongly believes that community service and giving back is incredibly important. She volunteers at the SW Washington Humane Society every chance she can. Marisa currently volunteers in the Volunteer Lawyer’s Program at least once a month.
Awards
Marisa graduated in the top 22-percent of her Law school class. Graduated law school with honors.
Marisa graduated law school with over 300+ hours of community service in legal field- Was given an award from the Law school for over 300 hours and the Ohio Supreme court for over 150 hours.
Marisa graduated with a bachelors degree Summa Cum Laude in the top 5-10-percent; 3.95 GPA
Marisa graduated high school with 4.0 GPA in the top 5-percent of class.
Interests
Marisa enjoys spending time with animals, her cat Thanos in particular. She loves listening to vinyls on her record player, running, hiking, and dancing, as well as watching television.
