Professional Experience
Jamie joined Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in June of 2021. A Midwesterner at heart Jamie grew up in Michigan just north of Detroit. She moved across the country from Indiana, where she was a clerk at a general practice firm, working in family law, estate planning, business law, school law, and sports law. She also worked at the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office in Indiana and spent a summer interning at Argentina’s largest law firm, Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, working in pharmaceutical law. During law school, Jamie was the Senior Managing Editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. She previously worked in employment immigration.

Jamie is a member of the Oregon State Bar.
Community Involvement
Jamie believes giving back and getting involved in the community is important. While in Indiana, she volunteered with Outreach to Legal Literacy, teaching 5th graders legal education and volunteered with the Inmate Legal Assistance Project, helping pro se inmates.

Interests
Jamie is very active and loves climbing, hiking, and lifting. She is a former competitive bodybuilder and played soccer, swam competitively, and ran track growing up. She loves to travel and has studied abroad in Spain, been wine tasting in France, and swimming with dolphins in Jamaica. Most of all, Jamie’s family and friends mean the world to her.
