Professional Experience

Brent joined the Oregon State Bar in 2011 and has maintained a civil practice throughout his legal career.  This includes representing clients in complex, fact-specific family law cases for over five years.  Brent believes it is paramount to work closely with clients and experts to discern the dynamics at issue and to conduct thorough and detailed analyses so that clients understand their options and can make informed decisions.  From mediation to the courtroom to day-to-day legal practice, Brent has the experience and focus to help you move forward with your life in a thoughtful, practical, and effective manner.

Brent has also maintained a civil litigation practice in Bend and Southern Oregon where his work focused on advising individuals, businesses, and local governments on business, contract, employment, construction, personal injury, and commercial law matters.  This background helps Brent provide comprehensive representation since he understands the underlying legal issues and concepts that are often at issue in family law cases.  Brent also previously clerked for a state agency and non-profit organization.  During law school, he served as a judicial extern at the Lane County Circuit Court and as a Wayne Morse Law Fellow.
