How cool is this? This Saturday is “Museum Day Live”, which means for one day you can get a free ticket for two people to visit one of 19 Oregon museums across the state. In Portland visit one of the following—Architectural Heritage Center, Blue Sky, Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center, Portland Art Museum and the World Forestry Center Discovery Museum—or head out to The Dalles for the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center or McMinnville for Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. It’s all waiting for you!

Warrior Dash
Saturday September 24, 2016

Looking for something different to do this weekend? 19.5 miles south of Portland, at the Sherwood Forest Equestrian Center, you can test your mettle and win a medal at the 3.12 mile Warrior Dash. The Warrior Dash is an obstacle course race that anyone can start and everyone can finish. Whether you’re an elite athlete or just beginning the challenge, you’ll conquer 12 world-class obstacles like Goliath and Fisherman’s Catch, wade across wooded lakes, and venture through mud-caked backroads as you make your loop to the finish line. You’ll be rewarded with a finisher medal (that doubles as a wall-mountable bottle opener), a sweet T-shirt, fuzzy Warrior helmet, and ice cold beer.

Cost: $100 registration.
