Need a brighten up your weekend? How about a quick trip to The Grotto for the Festival of Lights? Or it might be time to see what the cool kids are selling at the Roseland. If those events don’t do the trick might we suggest you dress up as one of Santa’s tiny reindeers for the Stumptown Santacon or perhaps wear your best winter whites for the annual Vespertine Winter Ball.

Christmas Festival of Lights features 500,000 lights, choirs, carolers, a petting zoo, puppet shows, and hot chocolate at The Grotto. The Grotto is a wonderful space that provides a welcoming presence and a beautiful environment conducive to peace, quiet, and spiritual inspiration.

Take a trip back in time while you tour the beautifully decorated, historic Zimmerman Heritage Farm House. Winterville is a new event featuring student choirs, a winter beer and cider garden, food and craft vendors, children’s craft making as well as free photos with Santa for children.

Join EastBurn patrons in supporting Toys for Tots by sampling some great ciders and donating an unwrapped toy to help children in need this holiday season. From the orchard to your glass, come celebrate the fruitful bounty of the Pacific Northwest with some of the region’s most progressive cider houses. Live music too. (for all ages until 9 pm).

For those over the age of 21, Stumptown SantaCon, kicking off at Splash Bar, is a fundraising event for Portland Police Bureau’s Sunshine Division. This year’s theme for this moving costume dance party with thousands of Santa, Reindeer, Snowflakes and more is “Festival of Lights.” COSTUMES ARE REQUIRED. From 7:00 to 9:30 pm at SW 3rd and Couch, there will be a Street Festival with DJ and Dancing, Fire Pits, Christmas Hearth and Cookie Baking Oven, Tug-O-War. There will be also be food carts and a photo booth to capture all those memories.

Celebrate the winter solstice at Vespertine Winter Ball, which has Gothic and industrial music, catered food, and a live performance in the Melody Ballroom. The theme is a winter ball so guests are encouraged to wear white and/or silver (for those that want to wear their blackest black that is fine too). This event is 21+.
