SKH Weekend RoundUp: New Year’s Eve Activities & Whale Watching
There are a ton of fun things to do for New Year’s Eve Activities in and around town, or you can head to the beach for the annual Whale Watch near Depoe Bay.
Count down to 2018 at the spectacular Champagne Ball, which has three dance floors, food, and 18 bars at the Hilton Portland Downtown. 21+.
A ticket to The Governor’s Ball includes reserved seating, a three-course dinner, wine, dancing to live music, and a champagne toast at The Sentinel Hotel.
New Year’s Eve Masquerade Portland is a DJ dance party with music from India, dance performers, a 10 p.m. dance lesson, and dancing on two floors at the Hawthorne Theater for age 21+.
Get Loud at the Library promises “a night of dancing, games, mini golf, ping pong, food, alcohol, and a midnight balloon drop” at Beaverton City Library. Children may attend but are charged the adult price.
New Year’s Eve Extravaganza is four hours of sketch, stand up, improv, and aerial arts plus hors d’oeuvres, dessert, a champagne toast, and a midnight dance party for 100 people at Curious Comedy Theater.
Volunteers will help you spot whales at 24 sites during Whale Watching Week.
