Chinese New Year

Celebrate Chinese New Year with lion dances, martial arts, cultural performances, and children’s activities at Lan Su Chinese Garden. Year of the Dog Fair nearby Feb. 17 & 24. Evening lanterns Feb. 27 to March 2.



Portland International Film Festival

Welcome to the 41st Portland International Film Festival. The Portland International Film Festival explores not only the art of film but also the world around us, no matter the place or the language spoken. Since 1977, the Portland International Film Festival has been the Northwest Film Center’s annual showcase of new world cinema. Over two weeks in February, through the exhibition of nearly 90 feature films and 40+ short films, PIFF audiences across the City of Portland travel the globe in theater seats through our celebration of the world’s filmmakers and cinephiles.



PDX Jazz Festival

PDX Jazz Festival features 100 performances by local acts and jazz legends every day. PJF is dedicated to preserving America’s indigenous art form by presenting internationally recognized jazz masters alongside local jazz musicians. A series of jazz education and outreach programs that extend into Portland’s schools and neighborhoods is at the heart of the annual event.



Mortified Portland

A cast of Portlanders are ready to share their shame on stage. Don’t miss the nation-wide sensation right here in Portland. For this special 10th Anniversary celebration, each of the three shows this weekend will feature a different line-up of Mortified Portland performers from the past 10 years.

This year’s theme—Girls From Ipanema—at the Sixth Annual Brazilian Carnaval Ball will feature the Rio Carnaval Style Band “Bloco Alegria” and Dj Seu Digo as well as special guests.



Dark Arts Festival

Darkness falls upon Astoria every winter… and stout lovers rejoice.  On Saturday all areas of the Fort George Brewery block will be overflowing with dark art, darker entertainment, and the darkest selection of craft beer ever assembled. Over 60 rare and unique stouts will be available to tempt all of your senses.
