Oregon State Fair
Through September 5, 2016
See farm animals and craft displays, try fair food and fine wine, take in the carnival rides, and be entertained at the Oregon State Fair in Salem.
Cost: $8 adult admission ($1 for all admission on Sep. 2 only).
Faerieworlds Fairy Festival
Friday-Sunday, September 2 – 4, 2016
Faerieworlds is billed as the world’s largest faerie festival and features costumed faeries, music, entertainment, a food court, and 150 vendors of art, literature, and crafts at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains.
Cost: 3-day pass, $90. 3-day pass with camping, $150.
Tortuga Pirate Festival
Friday-Monday, September 2 – 5, 2016
Tortuga Pirate Festival offers out-there activities and games for adults in pirate attire at Cheadle Lake Park in Lebanon, Oregon.
Cost: $35 per-ticket, camping included in price.
Mahrajan – Oregon Arab Festival

Enjoy Arabic culture at the Mahrajan – Oregon Arab Festival 2016 at South Grove in Oaks Park. The Mahrajan is a fun, family-friendly day filled with games, dancing, music, and food and crafts from around the Arab world. Come on by; all ages will enjoy delicious food, live music, fashion, poetry, and games.

Art in the Pearl

Art in The Pearl features 100 booths of fine art as well as music, food, and hands-on art activities along NW 8th Ave in North Park Blocks.

Tour de Lab

Bring a stuffed pooch or even dress like a dog at the Tour de Lab, which is a 19-mile or 40-mile urban dog-themed bike ride that begins at Lucky Labrador on SE Hawthorne and ends there with a costume contest, beer, and hot dogs.
Cost: $45 registration fee.
