Portland Tango Festival
Through October 17, 2016

It takes two to tango. Or maybe not. Find out for yourself at this weekend’s
Portland Tango Festival .The longest running US festival dedicated to the authentic social dance and culture of Argentina this swoon-worthy event offers live music, DJs, dancing, workshops, and a Saturday Grand Ball at Norse Hall.

Cost: Individual milonga pass, $150. Couple milonga pass, $280.

City of Cider Festival
October 14 – 15, 2016

City of Cider Festival (formerly NW Ciderfest) features cider tasting for adults, crafts & games for kids, food carts, a pie-eating contest, and live music at Portland Expo Center.

Cost: Tickets, $12.

Parke Diem
October 14 – 15, 2016

Volunteer to help beautify one of 50 Portland parks at Parke Diem. Portland Parks’ citywide volunteer event to to help beautify our city projects are available for age 5 up.

Apple Tasting

October 14 – 16, 2016

At their fall Annual Tasting, Portland Nursery is always well-supplied with a large variety of apples to taste and purchase by the pound, as many as 60 different varieties in all. You can also visit a kids’ tent, see cider making, and hear live music at Portland Nursery on Stark St.

Hood River Valley Harvest Festival
October 14 – 16, 2016

Fall its the perfect time to take a drive out into the Columbia Gorge. And this weekend is the perfect time to check out the Hood River Valley Harvest Fest. This gorgeous event includes arts & crafts, a food court, cider, wine and beer tasting, produce, music, and a kids’ zone overlooking the Columbia, plus a free Gorge Fruit & Craft Fair on Saturday and Sunday.

Pumpkin Beer Festival
October 15, 2016

Killer Pumpkin Festival offers 40 pumpkin beers and cocktails, pumpkin bowling and smashing, and live street music at Green Dragon Bistro & Brew Pub.

Portland Open Studios

October 15 – 16, 2016

Visit the studios of 96 Portland artists on the self-guided Portland Open Studios tour to see their work, techniques, and spaces.

Here & There Travel Fest
