SKH Week & Weekend Events: Spring Break is upon us! That means it’s time to find some fun stuff to do in and out of of our city. Whether it’s tip-toeing through tulips (or running) or looking for treasures or whale watching or just tasting (or talking about) about the spirits world, it’s all out there waiting for you. Enjoy!

Tulip Fest and Run

Sat. March 24, 2018 (Fest thru April 29)

See 40 acres of tulips and daffodils in bloom at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm’s annual Tulip Fest in Woodburn through April 29. This weekend you can see some early tulips blooming as you run through the fields on the 5K/10K Tulip Trail Run. Hint: bring running shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy!

TOAST Spirits Tasting

North-Wests Gold & Treasure Show

There’s gold in the Expo Center! Learn about gold panning and metal detecting at the North-West Gold & Treasure Show, which has seminars and lots of vendors at Portland Expo Center. Children 12 and younger are free.

Whale Watching Week

Through March 31, 2018

Spring watching begins in late March as the gray whales travel north on their way towards Alaska. The first surge swims by around the end of March and you can watch the north-bound whales all the way until June. Now is the time to visit Depoe Bay where volunteers will help you spot whales at 24 sites during Whale Watching Week.

Oregon Ghost Conference

The 7th Annual Oregon Ghost Conference will take place at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center. The Northwest’s largest paranormal convention it attracts visitors from all across the west coast and beyond. Expect the unexpected during this jam packed weekend filled with speakers, courses, tours, parties, and so much more.

Bricks Cascade Lego Convention

Bricks Cascade is a four-day convention for LEGO builders. You can buy a ticket to view their creations as the work on them this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center.
