Friday, August 2nd, SKH Managing Shareholder Laurel Hook visited Friendly House to meet with Development Director Megan Jolly and deliver a donation.
Stahancyk, Kent & Hook’s donation will help provide quality summer and after-school programming for children of low-income families. Jolly took the SKH team on a tour of the facilities, including the gym, pre-school, arts & crafts area, and the historic house of Amelia Anderson, Friendly House’s founder and first Director. When Friendly House was founded in 1926, all of the organization’s activities took place in Anderson’s home. Today, their programs and facilities have expanded. Friendly House has truly become a “living room for the Northwest.” During her visit, Hook was pleased to learn more about the history of the organization and gain a deeper understanding of their extensive community outreach programs.
