Portland Tattoo Expo

You don’t need a tattoo to attend the tattoo expo, but you may end up wanting one before you leave! This weekend you can check out artists and their work, as well as seminars, contests, and everything else tattoo-related at the Portland Expo Center.

Handmade Bike & Beer Festival
Friday and Saturday, October 7th & 8th, 2016
The North Warehouse

The Oregon Bicycle Constructors Association and the Oregon Brewers Guild are working together to bring the Handmade Bike & Beer Festival to Portland. Participants can choose from a selection of over 20 beers, admire bicycles, and talk to masters of the crafts.

Cost: Bike festival tickets only, $10. Bike & Beer festival tickets, $20.

80s Video Dance Attack

Lola’s Room/Crystal Ballroom

For a decade, McMenamins Crystal Ballroom and Lola’s Room have brought back the 80s through dancing and videos. Music Videos from the time are projected on giant screens, which pair well with the bumping speakers and light show. For one night a week, you can dance your way back in time.

Oregon Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Concert

Aladdin Theater

For the 10th year, the Oregon Music Hall of Fame is recognizing legendary Oregon musicians that add to Oregon’s rich musical history. This year’s ceremony includes a concert by Duffy Bishop, a Portland blues artist and one of this year’s Inductees.

Cost: Tickets, $30. VIP, $110.

Snap Judgment
Saturday, October 8th, 2016
Revolution Hall

Listened to weekly over 365 public radio stations, Snap Judgment has been described as a “storytelling phenomena electrifying audiences nationwide” and this weekend, it’s coming to town. Fine storytellers backed by the Snap Judgment band delivers intimate narratives and a glimpse into other people’s lives.

Cost: Tickets, $35-45.

For the people looking to be frightened by something other than just clowns, there’s ScareGrounds. This event is known for it’s haunted houses and with 4 to choose from, you’re certain to jump. The grounds also hold a Midway full of attractions and activities, from face painting to coffin rides.
