Laurel Hook’s Radical 40th Birthday: ’80s Prom at the Hotel DeLuxe
Last weekend, Laurel Hook, Managing Shareholder for NW Oregon and SW Washington, celebrated her 40th birthday with an awesome ’80s themed prom at the Hotel DeLuxe. Partygoers donned their raddest ’80s outfits and boogied the night away while DJ Dan Moe spun hits from the decade everything from A-ha to Soft Cell.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with corsages and boutonnières and stepped into a photobooth to have their prom pictures taken. At the end of the night the cake was cut and sliders were served. Joel Kent, Managing Shareholder for Central Oregon, even surprised Laurel with a serenade: Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire.”
The theme was suggested by SKH president and senior shareholder Jody Stahancyk, and was planned by Kate Crawford and Ami Margolin Rome.
