From the Kitchen: Broccoli Salad

There are many options for salad ingredients beyond the mainstay of lettuce or spinach. Try this broccoli salad for an interesting twist to any meal.

1 head broccoli
1⁄2 cup craisins or raisins
1⁄4 cup red onion (chopped)
2 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sunflower seeds or sliced almonds
10 slices of bacon (cooked crispy and crumbled)

1. Cut broccoli into pieces.
2. In a bowl add broccoli, raisins,
red onion, bacon, and almonds or sunflower seeds.
3. In a separate bowl whisk together sugar, vinegar and mayo.
4. Add mixture to broccoli and serve.
