Last Thursday night, associate attorney Frederick Schroeder gave a presentation about estate planning to the Bend Habitat for Humanity families. Families in the process of receiving a house through Habitat for Humanity are required to attend regular sessions aimed at financial management education. Frederick’s Estate Planning 101 class covered such topics as probate, wills, trusts, advanced directives, and durable power of attorney. He impressed upon the attendees the need for proper planning and discussed the negative outcomes that could occur without proper planning in place. Great work, Frederick!
