Bradford Miller presents at 2014 OSB Family Law Conference
On October 17, 2014, SK&H Shareholder Brad Miller was a speaker and presenter at the 2014 Oregon State Bar Annual Family Law Conference, a 2-day Continuing Legal Education conference and retreat at the Salishan resort on the Central Oregon coast.
Brad’s presentation highlighted the laws available to protect children from being uprooted or having their routines disturbed when a divorce or other family law case is filed. The presentation also examined how these laws are sometimes misused or applied inconsistently.

Following the presentation at Salishan, Brad has had several great conversations with practitioners across the state about improving local practice and correctly and uniformly applying these laws in a way that is child focused but prevents parents from taking advantage of the the system to inappropriately gain an upper hand.
