Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar…
By Thomas Cathart and Daniel Klien

Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar… is a neat read for those interested in learning about a few basic philosophical concepts, made even more enjoyable through the delivery in the form of jokes, followed by a basic description. The authors, Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Clien, use jokes as a means of pressing the reader to examine things from a different perspective, and they do a good job “sharing the same stuff… to confound our sense of the way things are” for understanding how the punch line correlates to the topic they are examining. Some of the jokes are twists on classics, and the book would be a worthwhile read for someone looking to both learn something and be entertained.
