As the Vice President of the Bend-LaPine Education Foundation, SK&H associate attorney Ken Goodin helped to organize this year’s annual Trivia Bee on Friday night. He was a member of the event’s planning committee, secured sponsors for the event, and was there to help set up and take down on the night of the event. Representing Stahancyk Kent & Hook, attorneys Beau Kellogg, Erica Strader, and Kyle Piro participated in the Bee as “The SKH Trivia Sharks.” The Trivia Bee is the Education Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser and sells out the historic Tower Theater in Bend each year. Trivia teams from local businesses and organizations compete against each other and sponsored teams of local educators for bragging rights. Thousands of dollars are raised annually to support the Education Foundation’s mission of providing Bend-LaPine School District students with the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities by funding activity fee scholarships and supporting innovative educators in the district through classroom grants. The SKH Trivia Sharks didn’t take home a trophy this year, but everyone and a great time and were happy to support such a worthy cause.
