Bacon Jam

Just the perfect amount of salty and sweet to start or end your day!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 ½ pounds bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • 4 large yellow onions, diced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ cup of brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of sherry vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Cook bacon
  2. Add all the ingredients to a sauce pan and cook at medium high until the sugar is dissolved
  3. Put jam into a jam jar & let cool for 2 hour


Voila! Chef Colton recommends putting bacon jam on avocado toast or a peanut butter and Jelly sandwich!
