Sparrow Clubs’ 3rd Annual Fly-Fishing
Derby
Stahancyk, Kent,
Johnson and Hook is proud to support The
Sparrow Clubs' and
their efforts to better the lives of children in need. SKJ&H
makes an ongoing effort to support the Bend community and
sponsoring the Sparrow Clubs' 3rd Annual
Fly-Fishing Derby is part of that effort.
The Sparrow Clubs' "...organization
facilitates...by matching local children in medical need/crisis,
with neighborhood schools and young people who ‘adopt’ the
child and family. Local businesses and corporations support
both the child and the school by pledging seed money to sponsor
Sparrow Projects. Ultimately, Sparrow Clubs do much more
than simply provide financial and emotional support for critically
ill children and their families. By allowing youth who are
personally hurting to help medically needy kids, Sparrow
Clubs unique service learning model empowers youth to transform
feelings of purposeless, detachment and anger, into confidence,
solidarity and compassion. Sparrow Clubs help kids ‘find
their wings’ and rise above their own difficulties
by helping others."

SKJ&H and Child Centered Solutions Helps Toys for Tots
Stahancyk, Kent, Johnson & Hook, in partnership with
Child Centered
Solutions, is proud to join the Multnomah
Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and Toys
for Tots in
helping kids in need this holiday season. Toys for Tots is
a nonprofit organization run by the U.S.
Marine Corp. Reserve
and has been helping children during the holidays since 1947.
Donated toys stay in the local community. This has been a
challenging year for many families, and with the holiday
season upon us, the simple gift of a new toy can brighten
the life of a child and help kids have a happy and memorable
holiday season.

Miller pictured above, an associate at SKJ&H was
instrumental in getting the Toys for Tots drop off box set
up in the Child Centered Solutions lobby.

9/19/06 SKJ&H is proud to congratulate James Gregg on his 55th anniversary as a member of the Washington State Bar Association.
In 1951 Mr. Gregg received his law degree from Duke University and move to Washington State with his new wife, Barbara Jean Crabtree Gregg. Mr. and Mrs. Gregg quickly settled into life in Washington. In 1960 they purchased the Charles Brown House, where Mr. Gregg has happily practiced law for last 46 years. In 2004 Mr. Gregg was kind enough to sell the Historic Charles Brown House to Stahancyk, Kent, Johnson & Hook. Mr. Gregg still shares space in the house with SKJ&H.
