Professional Experience

Sarah has practiced family law with Stahancyk, Kent & Hook since 2010. Sarah is a meticulous and compassionate advocate. Whether you have a complex asset and custody case or relatively amicable situation, Sarah welcomes the opportunity to effectively and efficiently guide you through the legal process. Prior to joining Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, Sarah worked for an established business law firm where she was exposed to complex estate planning, contractual, and employment law matters. During law school, Sarah was a law clerk in the Rules and Policies Section at the Oregon Lottery, drafting administrative rules, internal policies, and administrative orders.

Community Involvement

Sarah is actively involved in fostering Stahancyk, Kent & Hook’s relationship with Portland State University. She coordinates the firm’s mentorship of the Women’s Basketball Team, which includes planning team dinners, attending games and fundraising events, and assisting individual players with career development. In the past, Sarah has volunteered for United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, and FOOD for Lane County.

Interests

Sarah played soccer at the University of Oregon and sports remain a big part of her life. When out of the office, she can be found playing indoor soccer, running, skiing, or golfing. Sarah is a lifelong Oregon Ducks supporter and a new Portland Timbers and Thorns fan. Also a fan of delicious food and drink, Sarah enjoys exploring Portland’s restaurant scene, cooking, and learning about wine.
