Professional Experience

Before joining Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, Erica worked in the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office. During that time, she appeared in court on behalf of the State for a number of criminal matters. While in law school, Erica worked as a judicial extern for the Lane County Circuit Court, where she gained additional valuable courtroom experience. Erica also worked on a variety of municipal law issues as an intern for the Crook County Counsel in Prineville, and the Office of the City Attorney in Bend. Before moving to Oregon, Erica worked as a U.S. Senate staffer and later as director of government affairs for an aviation association in Washington, D.C.

Professional Activities

Erica Strader is an active member of the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Women Lawyers Association, and Deschutes County Bar Association.

Community Involvement

Erica has supported and volunteered with CRAFT (Cat Rescue, Adoption & Foster Team), a non-profit no-kill shelter in Bend, by fostering abandoned cats and kittens before they are adopted.


Erica enjoys running the trails in Central Oregon with her energetic Labrador retriever. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and fly-fishing.
