Laurel Lorigan Accounting Assistant Education: High School: La Reina HS (all-girls Catholic), Thousand Oaks, CA College: University of California, Berkeley – BA Landscape Architecture Law School or Masters: N/A Other classes and/or education: Currently studying for a Certificate in Graphic Design. Professional Experience: In addition to her creative background and interests, Laurel has always had an inclination to pursue more left-brained professions. After graduation, she was employed for five years in the Investment industry in San Francisco with Bank of America Securities and Dodge & Cox Investments. Most recently, she worked as an accountant at Portland television station KOIN Local 6. Community Involvement: Laurel makes daily efforts to contribute to the flailing economy (please see interests/ hobbies). And, although she is relatively new to Portland, she is actively searching for ways to get involved; recently, she donated blood, which proved to be low on her list of enjoyable experiences. Laurel is also currently growing out her hair (a less painful pursuit) for Locks of Love- she estimates it will be at least another year before she is ready. Interests: In her free time, Laurel enjoys watching movies, dining out and shopping- she feels living in NW Portland is the ideal place to do these. When she does venture out of her neighborhood, she spends her time exploring Oregon and going on road trips.
