Education:
Kristin graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, California,
in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in American Studies. After
six years working in the Portland business community, Kristin
returned to Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law in
Portland, Oregon. She graduated cum laude in 2002 with a Juris
Doctorate, and became a member of the Oregon State Bar in
2002.
Work Experience: During law school, Kristin
was a law clerk for Stahancyk, Kent, Johnson & Hook,
P.C. She has also interned in the Offices of Ron Wyden
in
Washington, D.C.
Professional Activities: Kristin is a member
of the Deschutes County Bar, the Crook/Jefferson County Bar,
Central Oregon Matrimonial Attorneys, Inns of Court, and
the family law and estate planning sections of the Oregon
State Bar.
Chair of the grants committee for the Oregon Women Lawyers
Foundation.
Community Activities : Kristin
is a member of the following boards: President of the Board
Grandma's House (a safe home for pregnant and parenting
teenage girls and their babies); CASA (providing a voice
in the courtroom for abused and neglected children); and
Oregon Women Lawyer's Foundation (a organization that gives
grants to organizations promoting access to the court system
for women and minorities). Kristin is also on the advisory
board for Mary's Place (a safe, supervised location for
victims of domestic violence to allow parenting time and
parenting time exchanges). Kristin
is a member of Grace First Lutheran Church and is the chair
of their committee to raise funds for construction of a
new church building. Kristin has also volunteered for
the annual Special Olympics auction and the Cascade Festival
of Music.

Personal
Interests: Kristin is a native Oregonian who enjoys
outdoor activities such as hiking and snow shoeing, as well
as attending local theater and music events. She enjoys traveling,
which has included recent trips to Southeast Asia and South
America. While home in Bend, Kristin is often in the kitchen
learning to cook the cuisines she experienced during her
recent travels.
