Pinnacle Exhibits of Hillsboro was among the businesses
recognized by the Better Business Bureau at its 2005 Business
of the Year (sic.) at an awards luncheon Friday at the Hilton
Portland (sic.) Executive Tower.
The Hillsboro company was recognized in the “Innovative Business Practices” category.
The Business of the Year Awards go to one large and one small business with the
highest combined score in the categories of customer service, community involvement,
and innovative business practices. Businesses with the highest score in the individual
categories also receive recognition. The following companies were also recognized
for excellence in the Oregon and Southwest Washington marketplace:
Small Business of the Year, Rose City Mortgage (Portland); Large Business of
the Year, Stahancyk, Kent, Johnson & Hook (Portland); Community Involvement,
Costco Wholesale (Vancouver, Wash.), and Customer Service, Generator Group (Portland).
“The Business of the Year Awards program gives the Better Business Bureau
a chance to honor excellent businesses in Oregon and Southwest Washington,” said
Robert Andrew, president and CEO of the Better Business Bureau serving Alaska,
Oregon and Western Washington. “These Businesses don’t just do ‘business
as usual’-they strive for the highest standards of customer service and
attempt to make a differences in their communities.”
The Better Business Bureau is a not-for-profit organization funded by the BBB
member companies. The mission of the BBB is to promote the highest ethical marketplace
relationship between businesses and consumers through self-regulation, education,
