Jody Stahancyk, in case you haven't had the pleasure, is one of Portland's two most prominent high-end divorce lawyers - the other being Albert Menashe of Gevurtz, Menashe, Larson and Howe. And what, you might well ask, will Menashe et al. do to commemorate this day, which means so very much to divorce lawyers everywhere? Nothing, really, says the office manager. Score one for Stahancyk...Or better yet, get proactive (as I think they say in government), and buy her flowers. And not just any old, off-the-shelf bouquet of flowers, mind you, but something really special. My suggestion: Head down to Tommy Luke's at 1225 N.W. Everett St., where a young fellow by the name of Michael Maul will be on duty. Just tell him how much you want to spend, and he does the rest. Those who know far more about these things than I do say he's a genius. Even I can tell the difference.
