St. Mary’s Academy Food for Thought Luncheon

On Tuesday, managing shareholder Laurel Hook hosted a table at the St. Mary’s Academy Food for Thought Luncheon. She was joined by associate attorneys Anna Friedhoff and Lindsay Howk. The Food for Thought Luncheon is held annually to raise money for the school’s financial aid fund and is at the heart of the school’s mission to “provide an excellent college-preparatory education to any young woman who desires it, regardless of financial circumstances.” Brigid Schulte, who graduated from St. Mary’s in 1980, was featured at this year’s luncheon; she is an award-winning journalist for the Washington Post and author of NYT bestseller Overwhelmed: Work, Love and Play When No One Has the Time. So far, more than $1.6 million in financial aid has been committed for the 2014-15 school year and will go to benefit the 41% of St. Mary’s students who receive aid.
