Oregon High School Mock Trial Competition

Last Saturday morning, SKH associate attorneys Ken Goodin, Erica Strader, and Beau Kellogg volunteered as judges for the 2013-2014 Oregon High School Mock Trial Competition. Held annually at the Deschutes County Courthouse, the competition gives Oregon high school students the opportunity to try a fictional case. Teens from around the state work in teams to act as the lawyers and witnesses in the case, while volunteer judges preside over the trials, issuing rulings on objections and ultimately making a decision as to which team performed better and who won the case. About the event, Beau said, “It’s a ton of fun and great for the kids.”
