Professional Experience: Brad began working for Stahancyk, Kent & Hook as a law clerk. While in law school, Brad also worked for a law firm specializing in taxation, estate planning and business transactions, and clerked for the Honorable Dennis Hubel, a federal magistrate judge in Portland.

Realizing that his passion lay in family law, Brad returned to SK&H and continued to work part-time during the school year, through his bar passage. Having learned the value of good planning, Brad has made the drafting and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements a focus of his practice, and has authored several newsletter articles on the subjects. Brad is a zealous advocate who believes that creative solutions, not cookie-cutter approaches, are the key to efficient and mutually-beneficial resolutions. Brad has been the primary associate for Senior Shareholder Jody Stahancyk, dealing with all matters related to family law and complex asset divorces. In March 2012, Brad was invited to be a Shareholder of the firm.

Education:

Awards and Achievements: Brad has now been recognized for four consecutive years as a SuperLawyers "Rising Star", in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

In November 2012, Brad was honored by the Daily Journal of Commerce with the "Up and Coming Lawyer of 2012" award.

Brad was aknowledged by the Oregon State Bar Bulletin, October 2012 Edition, as a participant in the 2011 Pro Bono Challenge.

Professional Activities: Brad is a native Portlander, and before law school he volunteered at the Portland office of the Federal Public Defender. He was a collegiate tennis player, and during college he coached junior tennis players at the Nike Tennis Camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In law school, Brad worked as a tutor to first-year law students learning Contract Law. He was also a Senior Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation. He has previously served on the board of the Multnomah County Bar, Young Lawyers Section Pro Bono Committee.

Interests: In addition to tennis, Brad is an avid sportsman who enjoys golf and fly-fishing. His formative years were spent dry-fly fishing the Deschutes River, and he tries to return as often as possible. He and his wife enjoy traveling, wine and testing the limits of their expertise in the kitchen.
